Senior Systems Engineer

Overview:
Axient is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer in support of NASA Goddard Space Flight Center's (GSFC) Software Engineering Services (SES III) contract in Greenbelt, MD.
The principal purpose of the SES III contract is to develop and acquire engineering of software and information systems support through all phases (formulation through on-orbit operations/decommissioning) of NASA's programs and projects for the Engineering and Technology Directorate's (ETD) Software Engineering Division (SED) and related organizations throughout GSFC, as required.
These systems include:
flight, ground, and science data software monitoring, control, on-orbit performance management and operations; spacecraft data processing and analysis, information management; and, science data analysis and management.
Responsibilities:
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
Analyses of all levels of total system product to include-concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.
Ensures logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions recognizing technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Provide proposal support including writing inputs for submittal.
Provide evaluation of test procedures and plans along with test data submittals and reports.
Qualifications:
Ability to understand systems level engineering requirements and drawings.
Specialized knowledge in one technical discipline is supplemented with understanding of fundamentals in at least two other technical disciplines.
Good communicator capable of working in a multi-disciplinary team of technologists as well as on an independent and self-directed basis.
Must demonstrate solid judgment in evaluation, selection, and adaptation and/or modification of methodologies and tools.
A BS degree in the in the disciplinaryarea of Computer Science, Computer Engineer, or Software Engineering.
At least 7 years of experience.
Must meet applicable COVID safety requirements and protocols.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
