Electrical Engineer (REU)

An employer is seeking an Electrical Engineer in the Greenbelt, MD area to support a large engineering program focused on the formulation, design, development, fabrication, integration, testing, verification, and operations of NASA space flight and ground system hardware.
This individual will be responsible supporting the Robot Electronics Unit (REU) for the On-Orbit Servicing Assembly and Manufacturing OSAM-1 program.
This position is located at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) in Greenbelt, MD.
OSAM-1 is a robotic servicing mission designed to refuel a Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite.
This candidate will primarily support testing of electronic board-level and box-level assemblies through flight verification, but may also support analysis, design, or assembly as required.
Additional responsibilities include:
Develop an in-depth understanding of the REU design and requirementsContribute to the electrical design, test, and integration of hardware.
Work with testing and validating existing designs, but understand hardware and design processes to execute redesigns if necessaryResponsible for developing, designing, documenting, releasing, and testing of hardware requirements within the programs schedule, budget, and technical requirements.
Direct troubleshooting efforts, and locating faults or design flawsManage conceptual design, trade studies, drawing generation, documentation release, and testing requirements.
Incorporate engineering change notices and feedback into the iterative processes for design changes.
Coordinate manufacturing of hardware and harnesses with onsite fabrication resources and offsite vendors.
Maintain documentation of hardware to NASA requirements Minimum Requirements5
years of related experience in engineeringBachelors degree in electrical engineering, or closely related field Experience in analysis, design, documentation, assembly, and/or test of PCBs.
Desire to function in a test/assembly/integration capacity, but also ability to execute changes to existing designsDesign, test, and analysis experience for both analog and digital circuitsMotor controller experienceExperience with hardware integration and test, system verification and validation, and systems engineering, preferably at NASA or in aerospace.
Previous experience with STOL and Python Desired SkillsOrCAD, AutoCAD, PSpice, Labview, and Visio software experience.
Experience using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies and Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) racks.
Knowledge of Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) considerations with respect to electrical design.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
