Responsibilities:
Peraton has an urgent need for a Project Manager to lead a critical program activity for the Space and Intelligence sector in support of our NASA client.
In this role, you will be responsible creating a platform for a Demonstration that will be delivered to our customer.
The Demonstration will utilize COTS, have a Cloud-first architecture, and have a great degree of complexity.
You will be a part of a dynamic team responsible for systems engineering, design, development, integration, test, and maintenance of a platform which will enable any mission to be supported by any service provider.
The team is also responsible for the delivery of capabilities into operations.
The platform will enable NASA to provide communications and navigation services in the Near Space Region to NASA missions and other customers.
This is a full-time temporary position that will be flexible for occasional telework with some travel to the Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD.
The selected candidate will be an integral part of a world class team that ensures NASA space-ground communications and associated services are reliable and meet mission requirements.
Your specific duties will include but are not limited to the following:
Plan and execute the Demo for the delivery to the customer no later than June 2023.
Achieve or exceed financial, delivery, and contractual performance targets for the project Develop, manage, and execute the detailed schedule for the project.
Direct work execution in accordance with requirements.
Manage team and team activities in accordance with the mission of project/program.
Create and manage team long term goals.
Identify, analyze, and manage project risks.
Lead weekly/monthly internal program reviews to track performance against targets and metrics.
Conduct monthly/periodic on-site customer program reviews to ensure compliance, satisfaction and seek new areas to add value.
Meet stakeholders to keep open and transparent communication of program issues and decisions.
Collaborate with other program teams to ensure products and services effectively meet the requirements and expectations of the customer programs and contracts.
Ensure that all programs are supported with appropriate processes and documentation across all functional areas (Finance, Contracts, Subcontracts, Human Resources, Mission Assurance, etc.
) in the organization.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Math, or other related technical field and 8
years of experience.
Demonstrated experience implementing services utilizing the Cloud (i.
e.
AWS, Azure, Google, etc.
) is required.
Experience with:
managing US Government projects with respect to cost, schedule, performance, and risk.
interfacing with Government and/or Prime customers to provide status of projects.
leading projects which have included the following:
development, integration, testing, and transition of ground systems for missions in support of operations.
Experience leading a team of personnel which may or may not include direct, subcontractors, or other team members to complete project requirements.
executing in an badgeless environment is a must.
Experience using Microsoft tools such as Project, Excel, and Word.
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance, which requires US citizenship.
Qualifications:
A Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Computer Science.
Previous experience supporting NASA, Department of Defense, or IC customers.
Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
Leading distributed teams which requires communication across multiple companies Background and experience with providing Technical Leadership to teams.
Have a strong propensity to take action and innovate.
PMI certified as a PMP.
Experience with selection and hiring of candidates for technical and management positions within a department and conducting performance evaluations and salary reviews for assigned staff.
Ability to succeed in the fast-paced and changing environments of development and program execution.

Salary Range:
Salary Minimum:
$57,500 Salary Mid:
$115,000 Salary Maximum:
$143,800 The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton's total compensation package for employees.
Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards.
