About the Career Opportunity Our Vice President of Mortgage will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the activities of the Mortgage Lending Department.
Expectations include maximizing the profitability, productivity, delivery, and member service of the Credit Union's mortgage loan products through effective usage of varied delivery channels.
Develops, recommends and/or monitors loan product/program offerings and interest rates for both Educational Systems and the competitive environment.
Responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing the preparation and editing of reports, writing and editing correspondence, and managing Credit Union policies and procedures related to mortgage lending.
Ensures employees are in compliance with applicable policies and procedures, Federal, State, NCUA and other regulatory rules and regulations.
Position Requirements This position requires a Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance or related field with a Masters degree preferred, as well as a minimum of seven years progressively responsible mortgage lending and home equity leadership experience required with a minimum four years management experience at the department head level required.
Must be a forward-thinking problem solver who is innovative and forward thinking.
Qualified candidates must have strategic foresight to help move our mortgage program to the next level, as well as demonstrated knowledge of real estate lending policies, procedures, regulations and systems.
Must be able to be registered on the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry as a Mortgage Loan Originator.
Must be proactive and possess excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication, analytical and problem solving skills required.
Must be able to exercise independent judgment and discretion.
