Under the supervision of the Landscaping Foreman, performs those landscaping tasks necessary to meet contract specifications.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Cuts lawns, using hand mower or power mower 2.
Trims and edges around walks, flower beds and walls, using clippers and edging tools 3.
Prunes shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth, using shears 4.
Rakes leaves and cleans or sweeps up litter using spiked stick or broom 5.
Shovels snow from walks and driveways 6.
Spreads salt on public passage ways 7.
Plants grass, flowers, trees and shrubs 8.
Waters lawn and shrubs during dry periods using hose or by activating fixed or portable sprinkler system 9.
Cleans out drainage ditches and culverts, using shovel and rake 10.
May operate walking type power mowers, snow blowers, roto tillers or riding mowers 11.
May operate chain saws, hedge trimmers and other hand held power operated tools to prune, cultivate, shovel, trim, cut and dig 12.
May use tractor equipped with attachments, such as mowers, lime or fertilizer spreaders and lawn roller 13.
Performs a variety of laboring duties when yard work is completed 14.
Performs other duties as assigned PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS The incumbent must be able to stand 33%, walk 33% and sit 33% of the work time.
These requirements are necessary to operate riding mowers to cut and trim grass, plant vegetation, rake, shovel, etc.
He/she must be able to lift/carry/push/pull 100 pounds, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, and handle, in order to load and unload materials and equipment.
He/she must be alert to safety hazards and have a method of communicating, so those around can respond and understand; must be able to see and tell colors, as this is necessary to drive equipment, inspect groundwork and perform grounds tasks.
Mainly work outside.
Working conditions are subject to extreme temperature and weather conditions, dust, dirt, fumes, or flying objects (grass).
QUALIFICATIONS At least one year of experience in landscape maintenance work including experience in mowing with push mower and weeding.
Must be able to work independently.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
