Duties and
Responsibilities:
Responsible for providing oversight of construction related activities and supporting the Project Manager, as needed.
Interacts directly with the client regarding design tasks
Reviews design scopes for completeness
Coordinates with design group regarding design issues and conflicts
Assists the PM with the monitoring of day-to-day engineering activities
Monitors engineering schedules to keep on track and to address problems that may cause delays
Communicates directly with the construction team regarding design changes
Assists in implementing Design-Build projects successfully
Assists the PM with ensuring that that all Contract reviews (design, submittals, RFIs, etc.) are reviewed and returned within the contractual timeframe.
Leads regular weekly and progress meetings with Parsons and NASA team
Assist in the development and constructability review of SOWs.
Leads pre-design site walks
Reviews existing conditions on job-sites and understand how that will affect design
Comfortable on interacting with the client and working problems to a resolution
Able to perform design reviews on a basic level
Coordinates the work of multiple disciplines
Able to understand staff loading and direct work where required
Act as a construction task order monitor
Qualifications

Experience and
Qualifications:
4-year College Degree in construction management, engineering or related field; or equivalent combination of technical training and/or experience.
Minimum of 5-years engineering or construction management work experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to form teams and proactively coordinate numerous items on a schedule.
Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to read and interpret contract requirements and to read engineering drawings .
Ability to collect, analyze and compare work performance with contract requirements and to make recommendations to for any performance issues
Ability to review and evaluate the project schedule.
Able to create and update schedules in Microsoft Project.
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing

Additional Desirable
Qualifications:
Familiarity with Design Build contracts.
Familiarity with scheduling software such as Primavera or Microsoft Project.
Familiarity with project management software such as Prolog or Expedition.
Familiarity with AutoCAD 2011 design software
Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Office Products: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software.
