Safety Engineer 1

Seeking a Safety Engineer with construction and electrical background to provide direct support by auditing and on-site safety visits; communicate safety hazards to upper management. Development of training material and educate personnel of safety hazards. Attend pre-construction meetings. Coordinate efforts with security during mishap investigations. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND
Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Safety or related field and one to three years of experience OR equivalent combination of education, training and experience
Electrical 70e experience
NFPA inspection experience
OSHA 10-hour General Industry certification
Fall Protection certification
KNOWLEDGE:
OSHA Standards
National Fire Protection Association Regulations
National Electric Code Regulations
ABILITIES:
Able to conduct effective inspections and evaluations of occupational safety hazards
Able to recommend and implement safe workplace policies and procedures
Able to interpret and apply construction standards applicable to federal, state and local regulationsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
