System Administrator/Utility Programmer

Our company is seeking to hire an experience, highly qualified System Administrator/Utility Programmer to support research and development projects at the NASA GSFC in Greenbelt, MD.
Candidate will serve as a member of a highly flexible and committed Flight Computing System team and will be tasked with supporting a wide array of ongoing development, integration, and testing activities associated with embedded flight / ground systems. The team is currently supporting two major satellite rapid development projects through their full lifecycle, from design to operation. Candidate will provide systems administration and general programming support throughout the entire life cycle of these projects. Candidate will work closely with team members to support flatsat / lab and deployed GSE systems as needed for the team to carry out design, development, integration, testing, and operations activities associated with the overall hardware / software flight system solution.
General Duties:
- Support team with configuration / maintenance of Linux / Mac OS X systems at FlatSat and other testing facilities
- Support team with configuration of various collaboration / development tools (e.g. Jenkins)
- Support team with scripting / development as needed for various test data analysis and post-processing tasks
- Support team with documentation of flatsat system configurations
Position Requirements
- Must have a BS Degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- A minimum of 2 years related software/computer engineering and development experience.
- Must have demonstrated systems admin experience for Linux and Mac OS X systems.
- Must have experience with various network aspects including VLANs, firewalls, routing, security.
- Must have experience with LDAP / Active Directory.
- Must have experience with RAID storage and backup solutions.
- Must have experience with system monitoring (e.g. via log files).
- Must have experience with various antivirus monitoring solutions (e.g. Symantec End Point Protection).
- Must have experience with C/C++, Java, Python, shell scripting.
- Must be able to work on site full time at NASA/GSFC.
- Must be able to support work outside core hours such as to facilitate flight hardware integration and testing campaigns (e.g. TVAC).
- Must have excellent written/verbal communication skills.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with NASA IT systems administration, guidelines, processes
- Experience with deployment/configuration of various development/collaboration tools (e.g. Jenkins)
- Experience with SVN/GIT
- Experience with LaTexEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
