Computer Engineer, AST, Data Systems
In addition to the basic education requirement, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level, which has equipped you with the particular competencies needed to successfully perform the duties of the position described above. To qualify for the GS-12:
Specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level includes duties such as supporting cloud based configuration management; Experience working under the guidance of a software systems engineer to develop, test and deploy ground data systems; Experience developing software systems that capture/evaluate massive volumes of data. To qualify for the GS-13:
Specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level includes duties such as performing cloud based software development; Experience developing, testing and deploying ground data systems; Experience designing and developing a variety of data systems related to the processing, archiving, and distribution of science data.
